My Church

My church was the emergent church of 20 years ago. Like today's radicals, they were breaking away from traditional structures and seeking a more authentic model of discipleship. It has evolved into the thing emergents are rebelling against.

One of the most difficult aspects of attending my church is dealing with the worship. This is a sensitive area for many. If you are sensitive, stop reading (1 of my 3 readers left :-). My church's worship style is the mainstream contemporary worship style. There is a leader with a guitar and a worship team. My mom is even on the team. She is still reading, I have unfortunately wounded her enough to build up scar tissue in this area.
